Universal applications run natively on Intel-based Macs, but there might be occasions - if they rely on plug-ins or drivers that have not yet been released in a Universal format for instance - when you might need to run them non-natively using Rosetta. With Application Wizard you can easily force Universal applications to run using Rosetta, either always or sometimes. To always run a Universal application using Rosetta, open the Application Wizard pane in System Preferences and click the Applications tab. Click the Add Application button, select the application in the displayed dialog and click Add. Select the Open using Rosetta checkbox and click OK. When launched from Application Wizard the application will always run using Rosetta. If you have Universal applications you wish to run sometimes natively and sometimes non-natively, you can decide whether to open them using Rosetta directly from the Open menu. To force a Universal application to run using Rosetta, select it in the Open menu and press the Option key - if the application can be run non-natively, its icon will switch to the Mac OS icon and Application Wizard will open it using Rosetta.
Note that Universal applications may run slower when opened using Rosetta.
