Importing cities from World Clock Deluxe 3.x

World Clock Deluxe 4 does not read your World Clock Deluxe 3.x settings, but, in case you had added a considerable number of cities, gives you the possibility to import cities from your World Clock Deluxe 3.2 or 3.1.1 preference file.

To import cities, choose World Clock Deluxe > Import Cities. World Clock Deluxe will look for your 3.x preferences file (com.mabasoft.WorldClockDeluxe.plist or World Clock Deluxe Preferences depending whether you were using version 3.2 or 3.1.1) in your Preferences folder and automatically select it for you in the displayed Open dialog.

Click the Open button to show the Import Cities window and display the cities contained in your 3.x preferences. If you were using version 3.2 and had run it in different languages, use the Language pop-up to select the desired language.

Add a checkmark to the cities you wish to import by clicking their Import checkbox. The list can be sorted by any column by clicking the corresponding column heading and the sort order can be reversed by clicking the triangle that appears when a column is selected. The information associated to the currently selected city is displayed below the list.

Once you have checked all the cities you wish to import, click the Import button. If some of them have the same name and/or geographical coordinates of cities that are already available in the World Clock Deluxe 4 database, World Clock Deluxe will ask you whether to import them anyway or not. To import all matching cities, click Import All, to skip them all, click Skip All.

Since World Clock Deluxe 3.x did not show weather reports, imported cities will have no weather station indicator. To show the weather in a city you have imported, you must specify its weather station indicator.
