Rotating clocks in the Dock

World Clock Deluxe lets you rotate clocks in the Dock, that is display them alternately in the Dock icon.

To rotate clocks in the Dock, choose World Clock Deluxe > Preferences, click Dock in the toolbar and select the Rotate clocks in the Dock checkbox.

To show analog clocks in the Dock, select the Analog clocks radio button. To adjust the rotation speed (or, equivalently, the time each clock is displayed), drag the Speed slider left or right. To add a transition effect between clocks, select Fade, Slide horizontally or Slide vertically in the Effect pop-up menu.

By default, clocks in the Dock always display city name, time zone abbreviation or alternate text. If you wish that your local clock (or any other clock) shows the weekday and/or date in the Dock, configure it so that it shows weekday and/or date and hides city, time zone and alternate text.

For a better readability, World Clock Deluxe shortens long city names, time zone abbreviations and alternate texts to always use the maximum font size in the Dock icon. If you prefer to display full names, deselect the Shorten long city names/time zones/texts checkbox. World Clock Deluxe will display long names reducing their font size.

To gain a quick overview on clocks, press the Dock icon: all your clocks will appear in the displayed menu. If you wish, you can customize the menu so that it lists only the clocks that are visible in the Dock or, conversely, only the clocks that are hidden in the Dock.

You cannot rotate clocks in the Dock when the World Clock Deluxe icon in the Dock is hidden. If you wish to rotate clocks in the Dock, you must show the icon in the Dock: choose World Clock Deluxe > Preferences, click Advanced and deselect the Hide World Clock Deluxe icon in the Dock checkbox.
