Date & time formats

The Date & Time Formats pane of World Clock Deluxe Preferences lets edit the date and time formats you can apply to your clocks and add new date and time formats.


• Date formats

World Clock Deluxe comes with 22 date formats used in different regions of the world.

To add a new date format, click the New Date Format button. Type a name, choose whether to show the day and month or the day of the year (001-366) and specify if years should be displayed with or without century or omitted. Choose the desired date order, enter a date separator and specify whether days and months should have a leading zero. Click OK to add the new format.

To edit a date format, double-click it in the date formats list or select it and click the Edit button. Change the format as needed and click OK.

To duplicate a date format, select it and click the Duplicate button. Change the duplicated format as needed and click OK.

To delete one or more date formats, select them and click the Delete button or press the Delete key. To select multiple formats, hold the Command key or Shift key while you click.

• Time formats

World Clock Deluxe comes with 22 time formats used in different regions of the world.

To add a new time format, click the New Time Format button. Type a name, choose a time cycle (12-hour or 24-hour clock) and specify how you want to display noon and midnight. If you wish, type a text for the first (before noon) and second (after noon) 12 hours of the day. Enter a time separator and specify whether to display hours with or without leading zero. Click OK to add the new format.

To edit a time format, double-click it in the time formats list or select it and click the Edit button. Change the format as needed and click OK.

To duplicate a time format, select it and click the Duplicate button. Change the duplicated format as needed and click OK.

To delete one or more time formats, select them and click the Delete button or press the Delete key. To select multiple formats, hold the Command key or Shift key while you click.
