Default clock

The Default Clock pane of World Clock Deluxe Preferences lets you define your new clocks' default format and specify where new clocks should appear.

• Seconds

Select the Seconds checkbox if you want new clocks to show seconds by default.

• Weekday

Select the Weekday checkbox if you want new clocks to show the abbreviated weekday by default.

• Date

Select the Date checkbox if you want new clocks to show the date by default.

• Date change

Select the Date change checkbox if you want new clocks to show a date change indicator by default (World Clock Deluxe displays -- for the day before yesterday, - for yesterday, + for tomorrow and ++ for the day after tomorrow).

• Local time offset

Select the Local time offset checkbox if you want new clocks to show the offset in hours and minutes [±hh:mm] from your local time by default.

• UTC offset

Select the UTC offset checkbox if you want new clocks to show the offset in hours and minutes ±hhmm from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) by default.

• Time zone

Select the Time zone checkbox if you want new clocks to show a city's time zone (e.g. EST or EDT for New York) by default.

• City/time zone/text

Select the City/time zone/text checkbox if you want new clocks to show city names, time zone abbreviations and alternate texts by default.

• Date format and Time Format

Use the Date format and Time format pop-up menus to choose your new clocks' default date and time format. Select System setting to use the formats specified in the International pane of your System Preferences.

• Label

Use the Label pop-up menu to assign a default label to your new clocks.

• Show clock in Palette/Dock/Menu Bar

Select the Palette checkbox to display new clocks in the Clocks palette by default. Similarly, if you rotate clocks in the Dock or menu bar, select the Dock and Menu Bar checkboxes to display new clocks in the Dock and menu bar by default. The Dock checkbox is not available when the World Clock Deluxe icon in the Dock is hidden.
