Dock preferences

When World Clock Deluxe is running (and its icon in the Dock is not hidden) you can quickly view your clocks, open panes, display preferences and show the Clocks palette by pressing the World Clock Deluxe icon in the Dock.

The Dock pane of World Clock Deluxe Preferences lets you add extra functionalities to the World Clock Deluxe icon in the Dock.

• Click icon in the Dock to show palette/show or hide palette

Select the Click icon in the Dock to checkbox to quickly show or show and hide the Clocks palette by clicking the World Clock Deluxe icon in the Dock.

If you select the show palette radio button, you can show the palette by clicking the World Clock Deluxe icon in the Dock. If you select the show or hide palette radio button, you can show the palette when hidden and hide it when visible by clicking the World Clock Deluxe icon in the Dock.

• Rotate clocks in the Dock

Select the Rotate clocks in the Dock checkbox to display your clocks alternately in the World Clock Deluxe icon in the Dock.

Digital clocks/Analog clocks

Select the Analog clocks radio button to display analog clocks in the World Clock Deluxe icon in the Dock.

• Speed

When clocks rotate in the Dock, drag the Speed slider left or right to adjust the rotation speed (or, equivalently, the time each clock is displayed).

• Effect

When clocks rotate in the Dock, use the Effect pop-up menu to add a transition effect (Fade, Slide horizontally, Slide vertically) between clocks.

• Shorten long city names/time zones/texts

For a better readability, World Clock Deluxe shortens long city names, time zone abbreviations and alternate texts to always use the maximum font size in the Dock icon.

If you prefer to display full names, deselect the Shorten long city names/time zones/texts checkbox. World Clock Deluxe will display long names reducing their font size.

The Dock pane is not available when the World Clock Deluxe icon in the Dock is hidden.
