Menu bar preferences

The Menu Bar pane of World Clock Deluxe Preferences lets you display clocks in the menu bar.

• Show clocks in the menu bar

Select the Show clocks in the menu bar checkbox to show the World Clock Deluxe icon in the menu bar and use it to quickly display clocks. Tell me more

• Position

Use the Position pop-up menu to control the position of the World Clock Deluxe icon or clock in the menu bar. Select Left to force the icon or clock to always appear to the left of all your other status items. Select Center to position the icon or clock between your status items and Apple's menu extras. Select Right to display the icon or clock to the right of all menu extras, immediately before the Spotlight icon.

• Rotate clocks in the menu bar

Select the Rotate clocks in the menu bar checkbox to display your clocks alternately in the menu bar. Tell me more

• Digital clocks/Analog clocks

When clocks rotate in the menu bar, select the Analog clocks radio button to display analog clocks.

• Speed

When clocks rotate in the menu bar, drag the Speed slider left or right to adjust the rotation speed (or, equivalently, the time each clock is displayed).

• Use clock format / Show city/time zone/text & time

By default, World Clock Deluxe displays clocks in the menu bar using their actual format. Select the Show city/time zone/text & time radio button to display cities, time zone abbreviations, alternate texts and times only and reduce your clocks' width in the menu bar.

• Truncate city/text to ... characters

If you display cities, time zone abbreviations, alternate texts and times only, select the Truncate city/text to checkbox to truncate all city names and alternate texts to a fixed number of characters. Choose the desired number of characters (1, 2, 3 or 4) from the pop-up menu.

• Show label

By default, World Clock Deluxe shows labels when clocks rotate in the menu bar. If you prefer not to display label colors in the menu bar, deselect the Show label checkbox.
