If you have Mac OS X 10.4 or later and your clocks don't use the system time format despite you have set them to use the System Setting format, you should make sure you have thoroughly customized times in the International pane of System Preferences. Proceed as follows: 1. Open System Preferences and click International. 2. Click the Formats tab and then the Customize button in the Times section to display the time format customization dialog. 3. Select Medium in the Show pop-up menu, edit the medium time format so that it is consistent with the short format and click OK.
