Adding time zones

To add a new time zone, choose Pane > Cities & Time Zones to open the Cities & Time Zones pane and click the New Time Zone button.

1. Enter your new time zone's name and abbreviation in the Time zone and Abbreviation fields.

2. Specify your new time zone's type (standard or daylight).

3. Enter your new time zone's offset in hours and minutes from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). To switch to negative UTC offsets, click the + button.

4. Click the Calculate Longitude button to calculate your new time zone's longitude. Note that the longitude depends on the time zone type: make sure you have correctly set it before clicking the Calculate Longitude button.
Alternatively, you can manually enter a longitude in the Longitude field. To switch to West longitudes, click the E button.

Click OK to close the dialog and add the new time zone.
