MaBaSoft releases Application Wizard 2.3 (December 17, 2007)

Application Wizard provides easy access to your applications, documents and pictures. It lets you quickly open, quit, show and hide applications, open them automatically at startup and force them to open using Rosetta, turn single application mode on and quit background-only applications and the Finder.

With Application Wizard you can also navigate volumes and frequently used folders to quickly open enclosed items, easily access favorite files, recent folders, Address Book contacts and your iPhoto or Aperture library, preview images, music, movies and PDF files, copy pictures and display slideshows, view the metadata associated with files and check system memory usage.

What's new in Application Wizard 2.3?

	The Address Book item can now be added to the Special menu, so that you can quickly access your Address Book contacts. Application Wizard lets you view cards, display phone numbers in large type, create pre-addressed email messages, visit home pages, invite contacts to a chat, copy addresses as mailing labels and create vCards.
	Application Wizard can now be shown in the menu bar by selecting the Show buttons in menu bar checkbox in the General pane. Besides the normal positioning in the menu bar, Application Wizard lets you force buttons to always appear to the left of all your other status items or display them centrally between status items and menu extras or position them to the right of all menu extras, immediately before the Spotlight icon.
	A bug that caused the Add to iPhoto command not to be available in image previews if the iPhoto Library item wasn't added to the Special menu has been fixed.
	A bug that caused the menu panel to be visible when iPhoto was in full-screen view and the menu bar was displayed has been fixed.
	Some other minor fixes have been introduced.
	The Application Wizard Help has been revised and is now displayed using Apple's Help Viewer.

MaBaSoft releases World Clock Deluxe 4.4.9 (October 26, 2007)

World Clock Deluxe is a powerful and easy-to-use time tool. What's new in Application Wizard 2.2.2?

	The incompatibilities with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard have been solved.
	On Leopard, menu icons have been redesigned to match the new interface.
	On Leopard, the System Memory submenu now expresses page ins and outs (and copy-on-write, zero filled and reactivated pages) in terms of their total memory, consistently with Activity Monitor.
	The iPhoto Library submenu now fully supports iPhoto '08 and lets you view your library by event and show recent events, flagged photos, web galleries and your current print project. In addition to that, Application Wizard now correctly previews items that were imported to the iPhoto '08 library without copying them to iPhoto.
	A bug that caused the Application Wizard Installer and preference pane to crash in presence of a malformed login items preference file has been fixed.
	Some other minor improvements and fixes have been introduced.
	Minimum required system version is now Mac OS X 10.3.9.

What's new in World Clock Deluxe 4.4.8?

Cities and and DST rules have been revised and updated. The Brazilian regions observing daylight-saving time (Central-West, Southeast and South) changed DST rule (second Sunday in October to third Sunday in February). Syria, due to Ramadan which this year lasts from September 13 to October 12, decided to postpone the end of daylight-saving time from October 1 to November 1.

World Clock Deluxe 4.4.8 runs in English, German, Dutch, French and Italian.

MaBaSoft and WR Consulting announce World Clock Bundle for Mac OS X and Windows to enterprises (August 22, 2007)

Two world clock utilities in a bundle for enterprises and institutions: MaBaSoft and WR Consulting have partnered to provide a bundle of their respective products World Clock Deluxe for Mac OS X and ZoneTick World Time Zone Clock for Windows to organizations needing to support both operating systems.

So far only a single user world clock bundle was available for purchase. Now three new options have been added: a department bundle, an unlimited site bundle and an unlimited world-wide bundle.

World Clock Deluxe and ZoneTick World Time Zone Clock are world time utilities designed to help users having frequent contacts with people in other time zones. Both products combine versatility and powerful capabilities with ease of use and share the following major features:

Daylight-saving time information for New Zealand, the Amundsen-Scott and McMurdo stations in Antarctica and the Turks and Caicos Islands has been updated. The Turks and Caicos Islands adopted the new United States DST rule (second Sunday in March to first Sunday in November), while beginning in September 2007, daylight-saving time in New Zealand, Amundsen-Scott and McMurdo will start on the last Sunday in September and end on the first Sunday in April.

A bug that prevented combinations including the Control-Escape keys from being assigned to the show/hide palette shortcut has been fixed.

Some other minor improvements and fixes have been introduced.

What's new in Application Wizard 2.2.1?

	The Quit menu lets you now quit all open applications except one by holding the Command key and selecting the application you want to keep running. Similarly, you can quit all applications in a group except one by holding the Command key and selecting the application in the group's submenu.
	If you have iPhoto 5 or later, Application Wizard lets you now view your overall iPhoto library by film roll. To display rolls, choose Show Rolls in Library from the iPhoto Library submenu.
	A bug that caused RTF files not to be previewed on Mac OS X 10.3 has been fixed.
	A bug that caused some indexed images to be incorrectly previewed and copied on Mac OS X 10.3 has been fixed.
	A bug that caused some third-party preference panes (e.g. Default Folder X, TypeIt4Me) to display the generic icon in the System Preferences submenu of the Open menu on Mac OS X 10.4 has been fixed.
	A bug that prevented combinations including the Control-Escape keys from being assigned to hot keys has been fixed.
	Some other minor improvements and fixes have been introduced.

What's new in Application Wizard 2.2?

The iPhoto Library and Aperture Library items can now be added to the Special menu, so that you can quickly browse your albums and projects, preview and copy photos and view the associated metadata. To browse your iPhoto or Aperture library, you must have iPhoto 2 or later and Aperture 1.5 or later, respectively.

Previews offer several new features. With previews you can now:


	display a slideshow of all the pages in a PDF file and easily view the associated metadata (title, author, page count and size, encryption, ... );
	display a slideshow of all the images contained in a folder or smart folder;
	copy pictures to the Clipboard and add them to iPhoto;
	view a list of the files enclosed in a zip archive, display its uncompressed size and compression factor and save detailed zip archive information to a text file;
	quickly view when documents were last opened and, in case they were downloaded or received as attachments, view where they were obtained from (URL, sender's email address, message subject, ... ).

To display slideshows, view metadata and add pictures to iPhoto you must have Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

Making an application active by choosing a specific window from the Switch menu now causes only the selected window (and not all the application's open windows) to be brought to the front.

Full Dashboard client names (e.g. Calculator DashboardClient) appear now in the Background-only Applications submenu of the Quit menu, so that running Dashboard clients can now be identified.

The display of IPTC (International Press Telecommunications Council) data associated with pictures has been revised and extended.

A bug that caused previews to incorrectly display music or movie durations longer than 1 hour has been fixed.

A bug that caused some third-party preference panes (TextExpander, Keyclick) not to appear in the System Preferences submenu of the Open menu has been fixed.

Some other minor bugs have been fixed.

Minimum required system version is now Mac OS X 10.3.

Daylight-saving time information for Cuba, Haiti, Honduras, Jordan, Mongolia and Syria has been updated. Haiti, Honduras and Mongolia recently decided to abolish DST. Cuba adopted the new United States DST rule (second Sunday in March to first Sunday in November). Syria and Jordan changed the date of DST start and end, respectively.

Application Wizard makes working with applications and files easier and quicker. It lets you open, quit, show and hide single applications or groups of applications, open applications automatically at startup, force applications to open using Rosetta, quit background-only applications or the Finder and turn single application mode on.

With Application Wizard you can also quickly navigate volumes and frequently used folders, easily access favorite files and recent folders, preview pictures, music, movies, PDF and text files, display the metadata embedded in pictures or songs, check system memory usage and view uptime.

What's new in Application Wizard 2.1?

	Application windows can now be shown in the Switch menu, so that you can easily bring a specific window to the front when making an application active. To display windows in the Switch menu, select the Show application windows in Switch menu checkbox in the Menus pane.
	Single application mode can now be turned on using Application Wizard. You can either select the Turn on single application mode checkbox in the Menus pane or add the Turn Single Application Mode On/Off command to the Switch menu and use it to quickly toggle single application mode. In single application mode only the foreground application is visible, while inactive applications are automatically hidden.
	Recent applications can now be sorted from the most recent one to the oldest one. To sort recent applications by date, choose Sort chronologically from the Recent Applications submenu.
	The Special menu can now display recently opened or browsed folders so that you can quickly access them. To show recent folders in the Special menu, click Configure Special Menu in the Menus pane and add the Recent Folders item to the Special Menu list.
	The Special menu shows the contents of smart folders now.
	Path submenus in the Special menu let you now navigate parent folders.
	A bug that caused the Application Wizard preference pane to crash when a folder or volume containing a smart folder was selected in the Add File or Folder dialog has been fixed.
	A bug that caused items added to the Special menu and then changed from file to folder or vice versa to display an incorrect submenu has been fixed.
	Several other minor improvements have been introduced.
