A quick look at image metadata
On Mac OS X 10.4 or later, using Application Wizard, you can quickly view the metadata associated with images and photos.
You don't need to open files, simply preview them in the Special menu and display the More Info submenu.
Application Wizard will instantly show you the metadata embedded in your photos or image files: general properties (size, resolution, depth, orientation, color space, ... ), the settings used when a photo was shot (exposure time, F-number, ISO speed, metering mode, flash information, ... ) and the geographical position where it was taken, information about the digital camera, format-specific properties (compression method, rendering intent, ... ), a description and keywords used for classification purposes if they are available.
With Application Wizard you can also easily save the displayed metadata as RTF (Rich Text Format): choose Save Info from the submenu, type a name for the file, choose where to save it in and click Save.
Supported metadata tags
Application Wizard lets you view general, Exif, IPTC, GPS, TIFF, JFIF, DNG, PNG, GIF and Photoshop metadata, Nikon maker notes and, for photos contained in your iPhoto library, iPhoto keywords and comments.
The following table shows the complete list of the metadata tags supported by Application Wizard:
