The Application Wizard pane in System Preferences has been completely revised. The General, Groups, Applications, Menus, and Keyboard Shortcuts panes have been redesigned and most dialogs have been eliminated so that options are now easier to access and quicker to configure.
The Quit and Switch menus can now be fully customized by adding, removing, and rearranging items. In addition to that, the Open, Quit, Switch, and Special menus can now be edited all from the same multi-pane dialog.
Application Wizard lets you now restore the Open, Quit, Switch, and Special menus to default. To restore menus, click the Customize Menus button in the Menus pane, and choose Restore Default Menu from the menu’s Action pop-up menu.
You can now open and quit groups using keyboard shortcuts. To assign a shortcut to a group, select the group in the Groups pane, enable the shortcut, choose an action, click the shortcut field, and press a key combination.
Application Wizard lets you now duplicate groups. To duplicate a group, select it in the Groups pane, click the Add button, and choose Duplicate Group. In addition to that, you can now quickly add all the open applications to a group by clicking the Add button and choosing Add Running Applications.
The Excluded Applications group has been eliminated. To exclude applications from the Quit menu or open excluded applications automatically at login, click the Quit tab in the Customize Menus dialog.
To quit all excluded applications you can now define a “Quit excluded applications” keyboard shortcut or add the Quit Excluded command to the Quit menu.
Application Wizard now fully supports iPhoto ’11, fixes a bug that could cause photos not to be listed in the Photos submenu, and solves some minor incompatibilities with previous iPhoto versions.
The Aperture Library submenu shows MobileMe, Flickr, and Facebook accounts and galleries correctly now.
Keyboard shortcuts containing function keys, arrow keys, or keypad keys now do not require modifiers anymore.
Several other minor improvements have been introduced and some minor bugs have been fixed.
