The tracking of running applications and background processes as they are launched or terminated, and their features and activation has been fully revised: the code has been modernized and streamlined.
On macOS 13 and 14, new items have been added to the Accessibility submenu and Privacy & Security submenu of the System Settings item in the Open menu.
The Open With submenu of previews in the Special menu has been revised: the code has been modernized, applications are now grouped by name, and version numbers are displayed in a dimmed color.
The creation of default groups has been revised and improved.
A bug that caused the Switch to Previous command not to be disabled when the previous application was automatically terminated and you weren’t showing automatically terminated applications has been fixed.
A bug that caused the chronology of running applications to be incorrectly updated after an application was launched without being activated has been fixed.
A bug that caused smart folders to be incorrectly sorted in the the Special menu when the Finder’s “Keep folders on top in windows when sorting by name” option was selected has been fixed.
A bug that could cause Application Wizard 4.5 to ask you to uninstall version 4.4 or earlier even though you had already uninstalled it manually, but without turning Application Wizard off, has been fixed.
Some other minor fixes, improvements, and code modernizations have been introduced.
