When previews are enabled, the Special menu lets you easily view the information that digital cameras and image editors store in pictures.
Embedded metadata usually include general image properties (pixel size, resolution, depth, orientation, color space, ... ), the settings used when the picture was shot (ISO speed, aperture, exposure time, metering mode, flash settings, ... ) and information about the camera. In addition to that, metadata can contain format-specific properties (compression method, rendering intent, ... ), the geographical position where the picture was shot, information about the author, a description, and keywords used for classification purposes.
Select the file in the Special menu and display the More Info submenu.
Application Wizard shows general, Exif, IPTC, TIFF, GPS, PNG, JFIF, GIF, DNG, and Photoshop properties, and Nikon and Canon maker notes.
If you wish to copy the displayed metadata to the Clipboard, choose Copy Info from the More Info submenu. Alternatively, you can save the metadata as RTF (Rich Text Format). Choose Save Info from the submenu, type a name for the file, choose a destination folder, and click Save.
