For improved security, World Clock Deluxe now uses encrypted HTTPS connections when checking for updates and automatically downloading and installing updates of cities, time zones, and DST rules.
Daylight-saving time information for the Cayman Islands, Iran, Morocco, and Western Sahara has been updated. The Cayman Islands will not introduce daylight-saving time in 2016. Iran will observe DST from March 21 to September 21 this year. Morocco and Western Sahara will suspend daylight-saving time during Ramadan, presumably from June 4 to July 9, 2016.
Two time zones have been added to the World Clock Deluxe database. New time zones are Choibalsan Time (CHOT) and Choibalsan Summer Time (CHOST).
Time zone abbreviations have been revised and a few changes have been introduced.

Daylight-saving time information for Haiti and Chile has been updated. The Haiti Presidency announced that Haiti will not observe daylight-saving time this year, while the Chilean Ministry of Energy announced that Chile, after spending all of 2015 on DST, will switch to standard time for three months in 2016, from midnight on the second Saturday in May to midnight on the second Saturday in August.

Daylight-saving time information for Azerbaijan, Morocco, Palestine, and Western Sahara has been updated. Azerbaijan canceled daylight-saving time this year. Preliminary dates for the suspension of DST in Morocco and Western Sahara during Ramadan are now June 5 (start of suspension) and July 10, 2016 (end of suspension). Daylight-saving time in Palestine started at 1:00 AM (and not at 12:00 AM) on March 26, 2016.

The offset from UTC of Magadan, Russia has been updated. The Magadan Oblast moved from UTC+10 to UTC+11 at 2:00 AM on April 24, 2016.
The offset from UTC of the Antarctic stations Casey and Concordia has been updated. With winter approaching in the southern hemisphere, both stations moved from UTC+11 to UTC+8.

The offset from UTC of Venezuela has been updated. In an attempt to prevent a possible power crisis due to a prolonged drought, Venezuela moved from UTC-4:30 to UTC-4:00 at 2:30 AM on May 1, 2016.
