The Default Clock pane of World Clock Deluxe Settings (macOS 13 or later) or World Clock Deluxe Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier) lets you define your new clocks' default format and specify where new clocks should appear.
Seconds
Select if you want new clocks to show seconds.
Weekday
Select if you want new clocks to show the weekday.
Date
Select if you want new clocks to show the date.
Date change
Select if you want new clocks to show a date change indicator.
World Clock Deluxe displays "--" for the day before yesterday, "-" for yesterday, "+" for tomorrow, and "++" for the day after tomorrow.
Local time offset
Select if you want new clocks to show the offset [±hh:mm] from your local time.
UTC offset
Select if you want new clocks to show the offset ±hhmm from Coordinated Universal Time.
Time zone
Select if you want new clocks to show a city's time zone (e.g. EST or EDT for New York).
City/time zone/text
Select if you want new clocks to show city name, time zone abbreviation, or alternate text.
Weekday format
Choose a default weekday format for new clocks.
Date format
Choose a default date format for new clocks. Choose Short, Medium, or Long to use the short, medium, or long date format specified in System Settings (macOS 13 or later) or System Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier).
Time Format
Choose a default time format for new clocks. Choose "System setting" to use the time format specified in System Settings (macOS 13 or later) or System Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier).
Label
Choose a default label for new clocks.
Show clock in
Choose where new clocks should appear. Select Palette to show new clocks in the Clocks palette. If you rotate clocks in the Dock or in the menu bar, select Dock or Menu Bar to show new clocks in the Dock or in the menu bar.
