The Resume pane of Application Wizard Settings (macOS 13 or later) or Application Wizard Preferences (macOS 12 or 11) lets you enable window restoration for specific applications when Resume is disabled system-wide or, conversely, disable window restoration for specific applications when Resume is enabled system-wide.
Applications list
Available applications and their window restoration behavior are listed.
Deselect the checkbox in the Restore Window column to close windows when you quit the application. Select the checkbox if you want to reopen windows automatically the next time you open the application.
Add (+)
Click to add a new application to the list.
If the application is open, you must quit it before you can add it, since window restoration settings cannot be modified while applications are running.
Remove (-)
Click to remove the selected application(s) from the list.
If the selected applications are open, you must quit them before you can remove them, since window restoration settings cannot be modified while applications are running.
Note: Application Wizard disables or enables window restoration by editing your applications’ preference files. For this reason, window restoration settings will persist if you turn Application Wizard off or uninstall it.
