The Rates Update pane of Currency Assistant Settings (macOS 13 or later) or Currency Assistant Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier) lets you specify how exchange rates are updated and if they should be updated at startup.
Try other sources if rate is not available on favorite website
Select to have Currency Assistant automatically look for rates on the other websites if they are temporarily unavailable on the source selected in the Currencies window.
You can drag sources in the list to change the order in which Currency Assistant tries them.
Update rates at startup
Choose whether and how often Currency Assistant should automatically update exchange rates when you open it.
After updating rates at startup
Choose what happens after rates have been updated at startup.
You can have Currency Assistant simply close the progress dialog and do nothing, or show an alert to report any errors, or open the Log window so that you can examine the update’s log.
Secure web proxy (HTTPS)
Currency Assistant uses the secure web proxy settings in the Network pane of System Settings (macOS 13 or later) or System Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier) when updating rates over the Internet. Click to open the Network pane of System Settings (macOS 13 or later) or System Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier) and edit your secure web proxy settings.
